The Goal of Coaching is the Goal of Good Management: to make the most of an organisations valuable resources. Good coaching is simply good management.
It requires many of the same skills that are critical to effective management, such as keen powers of observation, sensible judgment, and an ability to inspire appropriate action. It sounds simple, yet many managers dont know where to begin. It is only in more recent times that business schools have taught the “soft people skills alongside the “hard skills of finance and operations. People management skills and the commitment to grow and develop others is a formula for both personal and business success.
This presentation will introduce and explore the core competencies of coaching and discuss how they are applied. We will make the connection from the theory to the practical and allow plenty of time for questions and discussion in the room.
Both speakers Cheryl Smith and Hilary Oliver have corporate business experience in senior leadership roles and are masterful coaches with global experience.
